At a new time and on a new date, Alexander Wang presented Collection 1 on a liberating and shimmering expanse between expressions of freedom; the Statue of Liberty and the waving flag on top of the Brooklyn Bridge. Punctuated against a sea of concrete, asphalt, and tightly-packed buildings in the Seaport District, the show referenced a distorted sensibility and a view of the American dream seen through Alexander Wang’s peronal heritage and community.
