Anteprima founder and creative director Izuki Ogino continued her exploration of the intersection between art and fashion for Spring/Summer 2026. Her latest in a series of collaborations with artists, the collection saw Ogino team up with Japanese sculptor Takahiro Iwasaki for a geometry-focused collection that sought to take strength from weakness, and, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, creation from decay. Guests at the show received their invitations in the form of a toothbrush, a symbol, one can posit, for how we must take care of our most fragile yet valuable assets. They then witnessed a spectacle that focused on mindful renewal, with recycled fibers and regenerated nylon starring in a plethora of zero-waste production techniques that highlighted Anteprima’s commitment to building a better future.
Fashion Show or Construction Site?
Guests arriving at the show were encouraged to don hard hats and pose in front of metal construction barriers for photo ops; upon entering the venue they discovered that the runway itself imitated a construction site. Models emerged from scaffolding before traipsing down what appeared to be a rough gravel surface, drawing a stark contrast with the colorful designs they wore. One of the initial looks was a surrealist ensemble (the pants contained a shirt collar and decorative sleeves) with cheerful color blocking in marine blue, periwinkle, and red (Look 4). A brilliant aquamarine starred on all pieces of an ingeniously layered look including a sheer shirt, a collared “boyfriend shirt,” a flowing jacket, and an iridescent skirt (Look 10). And a “shocking” pink brought feminine flair to a delicately pleated skirt and top combination (Look 17).

Ogino’s blueprint is clear, but her vision, like the runway for S/S 26, is still “under construction.” As layers of artistic collaborations and new techniques build upon each other each season, she continues to weave a futuristic tale of optimism: destination unknown.
