Bergdorf Goodman Welcomes the Holiday Season with Dazzling Window Display

2 December 2025

By The Fashion Editorial Team

On November 20th, the celebrated luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman marked the holiday season with the unveiling of its holiday windows under theme, The Bergdorf Soirée. Featuring an extravagant fête unfolding across its nine Fifth Avenue windows, each scene welcomes the joy of the holiday season through the latest fashions. Joined by New York's High and Mighty Brass Band, the festivities also brought Santa from the North Pole for a heartfelt meet and greet. As SVP of Fashion Office & Store Presentation, Linda Fargo remarked:

"The beloved holiday windows are brought to life by a team of 100 artisans who work meticulously over the course of nine months to create hand-crafted cinematic portraits that celebrate the art of the Soirée. Our windows are a love letter to the creative process itself, infusing various artistic mediums from paper sculpture, soft sculpture, mosaic and more. This year’s theme is especially joyful, an invitation to celebrate together.”

A time-honored tradition, Bergdorf Goodman's windows continue to illuminate Fifth Avenue with outstanding fashion from the likes of Tom Ford, Givenchy by Sarah Burton, Christopher John Rogers, Marni, Valentino and more. In the first of the five fantastical scenes of the women's windows, After Hours at Bergdorf's: A Mad Hatters' Bash depicts a whimsical party filled with sculptural hats—one even inspired by the store's beloved chandelier. In Masquerade Gala, a one-of-a-kind vignette explores creative professions from poets to clockmakers, reimagined as intricate paper sculptures, while Game Night hosts a surreal celebration of games. Holiday Glow Up hosts a holiday block party with hand-painted neon signage as the series culminates in a dazzling mosaic of clocks, crystals, and movement in New Year’s Eve Countdown, marking the last moments of the year.

On view, four sophisticated party scenes unfold: A Frozen Fête, a soft-sculpture winter banquet; Surprise Party, a split-scene of anticipation and charm; Game Night, a lively nod to sport and celebration; and House Party, a witty study in handcrafted detail. Delightful and amusing, these windows frame the latest fashions from Tom Ford, Willy Chavarria, Valentino, Burberry, Kiton, Bottega Veneta, Dries van Noten, Fendi, among other noteworthy offerings. Taken together, the men's and women's windows tell a captivating holiday narrative set in motion to the rhythm of luxury fashion.

The festive window displays at Bergdorf Goodman highlight the innovative expertise of the in-house design and production studio, where a team crafts every aspect of the installation from the ground up. Each detail, from miniature props to intricate sets, has been constructed with precision—crafted to inspire wonder, surprise and delight in all who pass by.
