Christopher Barraja Explores Desire and Memory at Saint Laurent Babylone

3 June 2026

By The Arts Editorial Team

Saint Laurent Rive Droite presents an exhibition of Christopher Barraja’s photography at Saint Laurent Babylone in Paris, curated by Anthony Vaccarello.

On view from June 3 through September 13, Daydreaming of Him brings together works by the French‑Australian artist, whose practice explores identity, memory, and desire through the lens of Mediterranean landscapes and culture. Born in 1996, Barraja lives and works between Paris and Nice, which he imagines as a place of escape and suspended reality. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, he gained early recognition with De Chlore et de Rosé, awarded the Picto Prize and presented at the Hyères Festival.

Tinged with nostalgia and ambiguity, fleeting moments are transformed into images guided more by suggestion than exposure.

All exhibited works will be available for sale. A special edition of one hundred numbered fanzines, signed by the artist, will also be available for purchase at the exhibition.
