On the evening of May 26th, Dior presented its haute joaillerie collection Diorissima in Venice at the Palazzo del Casinò on the Lido. An Art Deco landmark, the venue anchored the evening in history and atmosphere. Conceived by Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Joaillerie, the event unfolded across a cocktail and gala dinner followed by an intimate presentation of the collection. A dialogue between the House’s creative legacy and the layered mythology of “La Serenissima,” Venice served as both inspiration and muse.

The evening opened with a cocktail and gala dinner, staged along elongated banquet tables layered with dense greenery, Murano glassware, and candlelight, creating a low-lit, immersive environment. Sculptural metallic foliage rose above the tables, transforming the space into a theatrical expression of Venetian opulence, while the monumental interiors and deep red velvet drapery of the Palazzo del Casinò framed the setting with architectural weight.

A multi-course menu by Mauro Colagreco, set within the casino interiors, where details such as roulette-motif serviceware extended the visual language, delivered a time-honored indulgence of opulence and reverie. Within the interiors of the Palazzo del Casinò, the presentation unfolded in a capacious hall arranged with red velvet seating and curved banquettes, where Murano glass chandeliers and traditional roulette gaming tables remained integral to the space. Worn with Dior couture by Jonathan Anderson, the collection appeared in motion, allowing the jewelry to be encountered.

Titled Diorissima, the collection comprises 141 high jewelry creations conceived as a triptych traversing botanical, aquatic, and celestial worlds. Drawing upon the gardens of Monsieur Dior, motifs such as clover and wisteria are rendered through layered gemstone compositions, before giving way to underwater environments defined by coral forms, fish, and blue-toned stones, and finally to celestial expressions of suns, eclipses, and nebular abstraction. Across necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, and brooches, the design language emphasizes composite construction and strong chromatic contrast. Technical methods include gemstone doublets, in which stones are layered to create shifts in tone, alongside the use of lacquer to manipulate light and depth—underscoring a level of craftsmanship in which each piece balances imaginative composition with refined artisanal execution.
