Kimi Antonelli secured victory at the FORMULA 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2026, claiming one of the most prestigious wins in motorsport as the sixth race of the season came to a close on the narrow streets of Monte Carlo. The Italian driver’s triumph not only adds another milestone to his rising career but also coincides with a landmark moment for Louis Vuitton, which steps into its first year as Title Partner of the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Monaco circuit, widely regarded as one of the most demanding layouts in Formula 1, once again tested drivers with its tight corners, uneven surfaces, and unforgiving barriers. Against this backdrop, Antonelli delivered a composed and decisive performance, mastering the technical challenge of the Principality to claim the trophy and reinforce his growing presence at the front of the championship narrative.
Before the race began, the ceremonial opening moments reflected the scale of the occasion. Korean actress and House Ambassador Hoyeon unveiled the Grand Prix trophy on the starting grid, presenting it from within the Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk just ahead of the national anthem. The trunk, designed to both protect and display the trophy, remained a visible element throughout the race weekend, appearing again during the podium celebrations as Antonelli received his award.
Starting from pole, Antonelli controlled the race from the outset, converting track position into a commanding advantage on a circuit where overtaking is notoriously limited. Early drama reshaped the field when Max Verstappen retired on the opening lap, while subsequent Safety Cars, penalties and a late red flag disrupted the rhythm of the race. Despite seeing a significant lead erased, Antonelli remained composed through multiple restarts, holding off Lewis Hamilton to secure victory by 6.271 seconds and extend his winning streak to five consecutive Grand Prix.
Louis Vuitton’s presence extended beyond the trophy presentation, marking its first year as Title Partner of the Monaco Grand Prix with a broader visual and cultural imprint. Central to this year’s presentation was the introduction of the Victory Patch, a new design element applied to the Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk after each race and engraved with the winner’s initials. The addition transforms the trunk into a cumulative record of Formula 1 history, with Antonelli’s initials now joining those of Lando Norris, the 2025 Monaco winner.
Beyond the track, the partnership expanded with the launch of a Monaco-dedicated edition of the Louis Vuitton City Guide. Featuring approximately 200 curated destinations, the guide reflects the Principality’s balance of tradition and modernity and mirrors the Grand Prix, where history and innovation meet on every lap. For Antonelli, victory in Monaco represents more than another race win. It marks a defining moment in a season increasingly shaped by consistency, control, and championship ambition.
