Each year, Nieman Marcus inspires with its beloved Holiday Book and Fantasy Gifts. This year is no exception. Of many remarkable gifts offered2, one stands out this year: a collector’s delight; the bespoke wardrobe trunk for men or women co-designed by Artemest and Kiton. Renowned for its curation of exceptional craftsmanship and handmade furniture, lighting, and décor; these items can be found in both its online store and New York gallery. Committed to timeless sartorial excellence and Neapolitan tradition, the luxury house of Kiton has been guided by artisanal mastery since 1968. The collaboration brings together two visionary luxury houses: Artemest, co-founded by Marco Credendino and Ippolita Rostagno, and Kiton, guided since 1968 by artisanal mastery.
Crafted by Artemest master artisans and upholstered in Kiton’s signature fabrics and mahogany wood, the trunk is designed to immerse one in the refined ritual of getting dressed. With compartments for everything needed to style an outfit, the trunk culminates in a grand illuminated mirror—and a pouf, also presented in Kiton fabrics—in addition to its functional and aesthetic qualities, it's conceived as a tactile statement piece of a room.
As CEO Marco Credendino remarked, “We want people to see the piece. Once you see it and touch it, like a coat of paint on a piano, you’ll understand immediately what makes this piece so special.” Echoing his sentiment, Maria Giovanna Paone, President of Kiton, expressed that the collaboration becomes an “invitation to slow down, to savor beauty, and to experience the ritual of dressing as an art form. In Kiton, there is also a deep heritage of love for art and design that we inherited from my father. It continues to inspire everything we create, guiding us to elevate everyday gestures into expressions of style.”
With the purchase of the trunk, the collector will receive a Kiton Gift Card to purchase a selection of garments and accessories to house in the unique wardrobe trunk. These personalized shopping experiences are offered with private wardrobe consultations at various locations—Kiton U.S. boutiques, during intimate visits to the storied Palazzo Kiton in Milan, or at Kiton’s legendary headquarters in Naples.1
In the spirit of giving and in honor of Neiman Marcus’ long-standing commitment to philanthropy through Fantasy Gifts, a donation will be made to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation.
