Palomo Spain SS25: The Divine and The Sensual Collide

10 September 2024

Alejandro Gómez Palomo's latest collection forPalomo Spain, "All of Heaven's Parties," transforms New York'sFourth Universalist Societyinto a realm where desire and divinity intertwine. TheSpring/Summer 2025collection continues the designer's exploration of human sexuality through a historical lens

Heavenly Inspiration, Earthly Execution

Palomo poses a provocative question: "Why are emotions so intrinsic to our humanity — like lust, desire, and attraction — condemned with the threat of hell?" This inquiry sets the tone for a collection that reimagines heaven as a playground for earthly pleasures.

The designer draws inspiration from Japanese photographerNobuyoshi Araki's work, particularly his fusion of kinbaku-bi bondage art with floral imagery. This influence allows Palomo to elevate sexual expression from instinct to art form. Helmut Newton's iconic glamour also leaves its mark, infusing the collection with 1920s-inspired decadence.
