Red Bull and Prada Linea Rossa Collaborate with Sean MacCormac on Historic Skysurfing Feat

In a thrilling display of human ingenuity and fearlessness, two-time X Games medalist Sean MacCormac has successfully become the first person ever to skysurf onto the iconic cables of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. This monumental feat was achieved through an extraordinary collaboration with luxury fashion house Prada Linea Rossa and Red Bull.

Fulfilling his lifelong dream required months of intense training and the development of innovative technical equipment. MacCormac jumped from a helicopter above California's San Francisco Bay in a 1676.4-meter-long dive, strapped to an exclusive high-tech board created by the Prada Linea Rossa and Luna Rossa teams. The board consists of a special construction, combining a honeycomb core with layers of carbon fiber for maximum reactivity and control during flight stages. A high-density yet lightweight polyethylene base ensured durability amidst contact with the bridge's metal cables as MacCormac slid along them for several seconds.

The fine-tuning of every detail in the design process drew on the engineering expertise developed by Luna Rossa throughout its America's Cup sailing competitions. Prada Linea Rossa provided high-performance garments and accessories to support MacCormac during his challenge, blending textile innovation with practical, cutting-edge aerodynamic design.
