Saint Laurent Reopens via Montenapoleone Flagship in Milan

In an historic building on via Montenapoleone, Saint Laurent reopens its newly renovated Flagship in Milan. After a full transformation and expansion with creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s renewed retail vision, the new store honors both Italian artisanship and modern design. Dating back to the 16th century, this historic building was rebuilt in 1952 and features delicately lime washed exposed brickwork contrast against back-lit onyx. Continuing the store's theme of materiality, the floors are conceived in traditional grey stone quarried in Lombardy while the iconic white and pink marble found on the Duomo also adorns this space. Niches are treated in fluted and glazed ceramics. Traditional Venetian plasterwork is reinterpreted by way of Stucco Antico throughout while a central staircase in eucalyptus connects the palazzo's past with the present. Furniture of the boutique pays further homage to its historical location.

Gio Ponti, the Scarpa family, Osvaldo Borsani, Marco Zanuso, Aldo Tura, Gaetano Pesce, are a selection of the designers featured. Additionally, commissioned specifically for the boutique is a table by contemporary Italian designer Vincenzo de Cotiis. Saint Laurent Montenapoleone welcomes guests to its newly renovated spaces where the Maison's full product offering will be available, including women's and men's ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, and fine jewelry.
