On view October 9 through November 5, Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris presents a selection of artworks curated by Anthony Vaccarello of American artist Maximilian Schubert. Approaching the boundary between painting and sculpture, Schubert's luminous canvases are cast from urethane resin. Layer by layer, Schubert employs an old master glazing technique where thin layers of paint impart color, depth, and luminosity to his surfaces. Titled 'Dissolve,' the exhibition coincides with Schubert’s New York solo show on view from September 17 at Off Paradise gallery. A selection of works will be available for purchase.
