In the second installation of the two-part Taipei Fashion Week, Spring/Summer 2026 edition, six Taiwanese designers unveil their latest collections. See our coverage of "Fashion! Action!" part one here. Designers Yentity, INMORIES, JENN LEE, CHARINYEH, 01 WOOMIN, WEI.TZU-YUAN, and HORSE LAI form a collective dialogue reflecting on this self, nature, and the future. Speaking to Rain during the presentations, Deputy Minister of Culture of Taiwan, Sue Wang, emphasized that a goal for Taipei Fashion Week, now in its second edition, aims to host a diverse trade show where international buyers can discover innovative labels and independent designers.
Yentity presented a collection which took the concept of “Her Wedding” as inspiration. The press notes explain that “Yentity constructs a world where strength and tenderness coexist. Rigid wool and suede are juxtaposed with light chiffon and lace, forming a layered language of resilience and grace. Each look honors the modern woman’s journey her solitude, friendships, and unwavering devotion to selfhood.”

Inspired by “The Godfather,” HORSE LAI presented “Scarlet Shadow” for SS26, “delving into the complex world of the Italian Mafia where blood, loyalty and betrayal entwine. Symbolizing violence and passion, [the collection] transforms into a sartorial metaphor for human duality. Shades of black and silver evoke control and silence, while red blooms like a nocturnal rose—elegant yet dangerous.”

In WEI.TZI-YUAN’s SS26 collection, an exploration of elemental forces takes place. “The visual drama of extreme weather is transformed into form and hues like lightning yellows, stormy silvers, and sunset oranges, capturing both chaos and transcendence. Within this vivid palette lies the human pursuit of balance the courage to find light amid turbulence. The collection transforms the language of natural phenomena into a meditation on adaptation, resilience, and hope.”

In CHARINYEH’s SS26 collection, the designer “draws inspiration from the healing philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine, particularly the principle of ‘strengthening qi and dispelling dampness.’ Integrating the Five Elements with contemporary tailoring, the designer translates the invisible flow of energy into tactile form. Sculptural lines, embossed ‘meridian’ textures, and organic silhouettes create garments that breathe with the wearer not only clothing the body but harmonizing with it. The result is a dialogue between body, nature, and consciousness—an invitation to restore equilibrium through design.”

INMORIES “constructs a sculptural stage that merges architectural rhythm with kinetic motion. Metallic reflections and high-gloss surfaces echo the sensation of speed—a visual symphony where elegance meets acceleration. The collection’s concept, Structural Interstices, transforms fleeting moments—the gaps between movement, architecture, and perception— into wearable art. Through intricate layering and patchwork techniques, INMORIES redefines the relationship between precision and emotion, giving form to a future where elegance is found in momentum.”

Meanwhile, INFDARK is a tribute to the 1980s. The SS26 collection “revives the era’s fearless individuality through bold geometry, structural tailoring, and Memphis-inspired prints. Referencing the coexistence of athletic, formal, and streetwear aesthetics, the collection embodies the decade’s ‘be yourself’ spirit with multifunctional, transformative garments designed for longevity. Vibrant patterns— in optical illusions and geometric rhythms— merge nostalgia with futurism, paying homage to the designer’s childhood memories of retro interiors, architecture, and early video games.”

With distinct concepts and inspirations, these six designers boldly declare that fashion is “no longer about decoration, but about articulation.” Born from explorations on the intersections of humanity, environment and technology, Taipei Fashion Week SS26 offers not only compelling ideas in design but also new ways of storytelling through its bold and innovative fashion dialogues.
