For over 50 years, the Original Yellow Boot by Timberland has been synonymous with strength, resilience, and fearlessness. To celebrate this legacy, Timberland announces its latest global campaign, Advice of an Icon, featuring three groundbreaking creatives: Spike Lee, Skepta, and Kiko Mizuhara. Together as icons, they share their own advice and wisdom based on their lived experiences. Each icon embodies a unique spirit of authenticity and dedication to their craft. Spike Lee's fearless storytelling, Skepta's unapologetic style, and Kiko Mizuhara's boundary-pushing creativity all share a common thread: an unwavering commitment to being true to oneself.
The campaign was shot by Gabriel Moses, known for his distinctive visual language and emotive imagery. At its core, the Advice of an Icon campaign honors where we've been and signals where we're going - as we continue to explore and redefine what it means to be truly iconic. With the Original Yellow Boot at its heart, this campaign celebrates a legacy of comfort, durability, and quality that transcends generations.
“You have to have a work ethic. You gotta put the work in. You can’t cheat that, if you’re cheating, you’re cheating yourself," says legendary filmmaker, Spike Lee. “Anyone who’s built something will tell you — you need blind faith, even when the outcome isn’t clear," adds Skepta. “I kept going. I kept doing what I liked. Sometimes there were challenges, and I failed. It’s because I stayed true to who I am. That’s why I’m here. And I will never apologize for who I am,” reflects genre-defying creative, Kiko.
As a beacon of cultural relevance and enduring style, The Original Yellow Boot serves as a constant reminder of the power of authenticity, resilience, and craftsmanship in shaping the world around us. In celebrating these timeless values through The Advice of an Icon campaign, we honor not just a product, but a way of life that continues to inspire and empower people from all walks of life.
