Taipei Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026 debuted on October 18th and ran through October 20th in Taiwan. This season, The Ministry of Culture unveiled this season's theme, 'Fashion, Action!,' which is grounded in the idea that 'behind the scenes is also center stage.' As Taiwanese dramas reshape storytelling and fashion aesthetics, this season's theme celebrates Taiwanese drama as a conduit of emotional depth as manifested in materials and form. Held at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taipei Fashion Week SS26 features a dynamic lineup: The Opening Show, 11 brand showcases, the fashion curation 'Colors of Taiwan,' and an international buyer program. This collaborative project delves into the idea of "sutures" as a means of mending and repair, mirroring the intricate balance between logic and emotion in both medical practices and everyday existence. In the realm of fashion, it explores how to convey this concept through visible, unbridled seams - akin to genuine surgical marks on human skin - as an expression of humanity's inherent vulnerability.

WEAVISM's The Cleaner-inspired collection uses workwear to symbolise cleaning and preservation. Multi-pocket designs represent memory storage, while exposed stitching and weathered prints on new fabrics suggest repair, time's erosion, and rebirth. Garments become story-carrying vessels, much like the drama's 'cleaners.'

Dleet interprets the themes of "desire and freedom" through this capsule collection, focused on the liminal space between the fabric and the skin. The use of airy, soft flowing fabric allows the collection to pay homage to the theme of ‘Freedom’, whilst the brand employs tailoring and a muted color palette to subvert traditional silhouettes, paying homage to the intricate female friendship as depicted in ‘Us Without Sex’.

Designer Ray Chu translates the themes of daily emotion and self-discovery from "Holiday" into a collection defined by a light, fluid, and gender-neutral aesthetic. By utilizing his signature unisex silhouettes and deconstructed, sustainable tailoring, the work successfully embodies the spirit of 'life as performance.'
