Where Trends
Begin
Founded in 2016, Rain is an independent luxury platform and fashion periodical registered under ISSN 2473-6090. The publication takes its name from Blind Melon’s “No Rain”, and the work of the band’s late frontman, Shannon Hoon, remains an enduring influence.
Rain has cultivated a distinct dialogue among fashion, film, music, and contemporary art. Its commissioned fashion editorials have featured Comme des Garçons Homme Plus, Maison Margiela, Gucci, Celine by Hedi Slimane, and Valentino x Undercover. Its original interviews and features have included Cindy Sherman, Francis Kurkdjian, Tyga, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Jaeden Martell, and Finn Wolfhard. The selected history below traces Rain’s evolution from an independent print periodical to an online publication.
