Church’s brought its latest collections, Northampton craft and a few good drinks to The Hart in Marylebone, bringing together friends of the brand, press and guests for a relaxed look at the world behind its shoes.
The focus was the New Formal collection for men and the Sloane collection for women. The Stanhope updates the Chelsea boot, the Skipton is a clean Oxford, and the Sidley has a longer lace-up shape. For women, the Sienna and Suzanne have a subtle retro feel, while the Susan ankle boot is simple and polished.
Northampton, where Church’s has long made its shoes, was part of the story, too. Shoemakers from the factory showed guests some of the work that goes into each pair. Roses linked the evening back to Northamptonshire: New Dawn, Sea Foam and Crème de La Crème were on display, and guests could take home seeds.
The rose theme continued at the bar with English gin, herbs, juniper and rose petals. Bradley Zero played the evening’s DJ set.
Guests included Alexa Chung, Camille Charrière, Charithra Chandran, Daniel Millar, Ed Speleers, Jay Lycurgo, Lennon Gallagher, Mia Regan, William Franklyn-Miller, among others.
