For Summer 2027, Chloé explores romance through memory, emotion and an intimate connection to the history of the maison. Entitled The “Obsession” Collection, the season reflects Creative Director Chemena Kamali's personal relationship with Chloé. Her instinctive approach can be felt throughout the wardrobe, where familiar Chloé codes are revisited from a softer, contemporary perspective, resulting in a collection that feels both delicate and romantic.
Lace emerges as one of the defining elements of the collection. From delicate tops finished with fringe in looks three and six to elongated lace dresses in looks nine and ten, the fabric creates a sense of lightness and movement. Rather than feeling overly decorative, the lace brings a quiet elegance to the silhouettes.
This exploration of lace is closely connected to Chloé’s history. Kamali looked back to the maison’s early robes de jeunes filles, often created in broderie anglaise, and to 19th-century archival threadwork. These references are translated into different fabrics, from light organza to heavier cottons, creating a contrast between delicacy and structure in looks sixteen and thirty-eight.
The neckline becomes a defining element throughout the collection, ranging from heart-shaped to deep square silhouettes. The heart-shaped neckline works particularly beautifully alongside the warmth of brown leather tailoring in look twenty-five, while look twenty-three features a powder-pink tailored ensemble with a deep square neckline. Together, these silhouettes show how Chloé reimagines romance through both delicacy and confidence.
Outerwear becomes another important obsession for Kamali. In look twenty-four, the collection draws on 1970s shapes, including fishermen’s coats, capes and hats; in look thirty, it contrasts these references with transparent vinyl in smoky shades inspired by 1950s rainwear. This creates a striking change from the softness of lace to sharper, protective silhouettes.
The collection also revisits the idea of tailoring through the 1972 “Noel” suit from the Chloé archives. Its scalloped-edge tuxedo becomes a starting point for exploring the relationship between women and traditionally masculine suiting—another part of the maison’s heritage—in look forty-five. Even lingerie becomes part of Kamali’s exploration. Rather than remaining hidden, delicate lace is transformed into romantic silhouettes in look fifty-three.
What emerges from The “Obsession” Collection is a dialogue between past and present, delicacy and strength, romance and freedom. For Kamali, this collection becomes something deeply personal. Her final words, “Forever Chloé,” capture the emotional core of the season: not simply a return to the past, but a personal reinterpretation of the house’s history through the eyes of the woman shaping its future.
