Kimi Antonelli claimed first place at the FORMULA 1® MSC CRUISES UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2026 in Austin. His trophy was presented on the podium in a bespoke Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, bringing the House’s travel heritage to the finish line.
Starting from pole, the Mercedes driver controlled the 56-lap race with a one-stop strategy, switching from medium to hard tires while several rivals stopped twice. He finished 13.078 seconds ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who passed Max Verstappen late in the race to claim second, leaving the Red Bull driver third. Antonelli’s ninth Grand Prix victory of the season brought him closer to his first drivers’ title, though he had yet to clinch the drivers’ championship.
Handcrafted at Louis Vuitton’s historic atelier in Asnières-sur-Seine, France, the trunk pairs Monogram canvas with blue-and-red Damier strips forming a V for both victory and Vuitton. Inspired by traditional travel labels, the House’s new Victory patch bears Antonelli’s initials—a personal record of the race in Louis Vuitton’s second season as an Official Partner of Formula 1.
The fashion story extended beyond the podium. Louis Vuitton and LVMH ambassador Léon Marchand attended in a light blue Monogram-print shirt and beige double-pleated trousers, finished with black leather Major loafers and a steel Tambour watch with a blue dial. From the trophy’s case to the trackside wardrobe, the House gave Austin a distinctly Monogrammed finish.
