Hollywood's Biggest Night: Fashion, Winners, and Star-Studded Arrivals at the Oscars 2025
By Entertainment Editorial Staff
It’s Hollywood’s biggest night as the stars arrive at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the 97th Academy Awards. Host Conan O'Brien is set to bring his signature humor to the stage, but before the ceremony begins, all eyes are on the red carpet. As the evening unfolds, we’ll provide live updates on the most stunning fashion moments from the night.
This year’s Oscars are buzzing with anticipation, as Emilia Pérez, Wicked, Conclave, Anora, and A Complete Unknown are among the most talked-about films in both the acting and Best Picture categories. With 13 nominations, Emilia Pérez is leading the charge, including a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Zoe Saldaña. Alongside her, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore, Mikey Madison, and Ariana Grande are just a few of the stars vying for top honors tonight.
Key Moments from the 97th Academy Awards
The 97th Academy Awards kicked off with an electric atmosphere as Conan O'Brien took the stage to host Hollywood's biggest night. Early into the evening, Emilia Pérez dominated the ceremony with 13 nominations, and the film's star, Zoe Saldaña, made history by winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film. Other notable nominees in the category included Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown and Ariana Grande for Wicked.
One of the standout moments of the night was the James Bond musical tribute, which honored the legendary film franchise. The segment featured a stunning performance from Lisa of Blackpink, who sang "Live and Let Die," followed by Doja Cat's rendition of "Diamonds Are Forever," and Raye’s powerful performance of "Skyfall." The tribute was a fitting tribute to the Bond legacy, especially after producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson received honorary Oscars at the Governors Awards.
Anora also took home an Oscar, winning Best Film Editing for Sean Baker, who expressed immense gratitude in his acceptance speech, sharing that editing was half of his directing and a third of his screenwriting.
In a heartfelt moment, the ceremony honored the city of Los Angeles, recognizing the devastation caused by the wildfires earlier in the year. The night included a charitable component to help fire victims, with many in attendance reflecting on the city’s resilience and strength.
Other key moments included The Substance winning Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and the ongoing recognition of Wicked, which, despite its multiple nominations, did not win in major categories
