From Historic Nominations to High Fashion, Hollywood Brings Glamour to the 2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet
The 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles marked a momentous evening in entertainment, with Jon M. Chu's "Wicked" leading the nominations and making history by tying the record for most nominations with five nods. The musical phenomenon joined the ranks of classics like "Shakespeare in Love" (1998) and recent triumph "Everything Everywhere All at Once" (2022). James Mangold's Bob Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown" starring Timothée Chalamet followed closely with four nominations, while FX's "Shogun" dominated the television categories with five nominations.
The ceremony was defined by groundbreaking victories, with Chalamet becoming the youngest-ever Best Leading Actor winner at 29, and "Shogun" making history as Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada became the first Japanese actors to win in their respective drama categories, while the show's ensemble became the first primarily Asian cast to win Best Ensemble in a Drama Series. Colin Farrell earned distinction as the first Irish actor to win in his television movie category for "The Penguin."

Hollywood's biggest stars arrived at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in creations from fashion's most prestigious houses including Gucci, Prada, LOEWE, Valentino, and BVLGARI. The red carpet transformed into a showcase of both timeless elegance and bold contemporary design.
Lily Gladstone in Custom Gucci
Lily Gladstone made a powerful statement in a custom Gucci dress created in collaboration with Indigenous designer Joe Big Mountain of Ironhorse Quillwork. The corseted gown featured graduating chevron beaded fringe and intricate porcupine quillwork with woven blue mountain designs, brass sequin accents, and 24kt gold plated beads. Following the awards ceremony, this meaningful piece will be showcased in the Making a Statement exhibition at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., opening to the public on February 28th.

Jodie Foster and Charlie Foster in Gucci
Nominee for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series, Jodie Foster appeared wearing a custom chocolate fondant brown sleeveless Gucci gown embroidered with all-over beaded fringe, complemented by gold metal bamboo cuff bracelets and black leather platforms.
Accompanying her was her son, Charlie Foster, who brought classic sophistication in a black single-breasted wool Gucci tuxedo, perfectly paired with a white shirt, black bowtie, and black patent leather lace-up shoes.

The eye-catching accessory was actually a $25,000 USD Féline de Cartier pendant watch featuring 78 brilliant and princess-cut diamonds set in 18-karat yellow gold and black lacquer from the 2005 Cartier Libre collection, completing his ultra-luxe Bob Dylan-inspired look.
