In a remote pocket of the Carpathian Mountains lies an alpine offshoot of Transylvania, home to the cultural landmark, Castel Bran. Constructed in 1388, Castle Bran served as a haven for Romanian royalty and aristocracy. The castle’s rich history and tales of its residents inspired Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ (1897), establishing this Romanian town as the epicenter of vampire folklore.
